Signing at Burgenstock
The Swiss foreign ministry confirmed that the United States and Iran will hold a signing ceremony for their memorandum of understanding on Friday at the Burgenstock resort in central Switzerland.
“DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Iran’s top diplomat said Tuesday that the tentative deal to end the war with the United States would require Israel to withdraw from Lebanon — a condition Israel has already rejected and that could sink the agreement, leading to the resumption of all-out war”
The ministry said the location was proposed by Pakistani and Qatari mediators, as well as by the US and Iran, and that Switzerland is acting as a facilitator by creating the practical and diplomatic conditions necessary for the meeting to take place.

A senior US official told the Wall Street Journal that the US will let Iran immediately begin selling oil and fuel under the deal, offering Tehran an early financial incentive to wind down the conflict.
The text of the deal had not been made public as of Tuesday, while the Wall Street Journal reported on the agreement citing people familiar with it.
Who signs and when
SANA said the Swiss Foreign Ministry announced Tuesday that the signing ceremony for the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran will be held on Friday at a luxury hotel on Mount Bürgenstock overlooking Lake Lucerne in central Switzerland.
SANA reported that a senior US official said the memorandum of understanding was signed electronically by President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on Sunday.

SANA also said Tehran’s account was that Vance and Ghalibaf will lead their respective countries’ delegations during the signing ceremony in Switzerland, with Vance leading the US delegation for the in-person signing.
The Swiss Foreign Ministry said it could not provide further information at this time regarding the details of the ceremony or the signing program, while the text of the memorandum of understanding was expected to be released after the formal signing ceremony, Trump said.
Talks, sanctions, and stakes
Arab News said the United States and Iran are to launch talks on a final settlement to their conflict on Friday in Switzerland, with negotiations over a final deal to start immediately after a deal signing ceremony and continue during a 60-day window.
“US-Iran deal to be signed in Switzerland on Friday: Bern A US-Iran deal aimed at ending the Middle East war will be signed at Switzerland's mountainside Burgenstock resort on Friday, the Swiss foreign ministry said”
The same report said the framework agreement has already been signed electronically by US President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Iran’s deputy foreign minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi and top negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, while Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said, “In the final agreement, decisions will be made on the nuclear issues and the lifting of sanctions.”
Arab News also quoted a senior US official saying sustained sanctions relief would be tied to “Iran's performance on US demands” regarding issues like opening the Strait of Hormuz and its nuclear program.
The National said the agreement is expected to halt the conflict for at least 60 days and set a framework for wider talks on nuclear, assets and other issues, while the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs said the signing is scheduled for Friday, June 19, at Burgenstock in the canton of Nidwalden.
