RomaToday said about “Un centinaio” of students marched with the chant “Israele terrorista,” carrying Palestinian flags and flags of the collectives Cambiare Rotta, Osa, Rete dei comunisti and Potere al popolo.

The same article said the demonstration was organized on the day of the anniversary of the Nakba, described as the forced exodus of “circa 700mila” Palestinian Arabs in 1948 from territories occupied by Israel during the first Arab-Israeli war.
At the march’s route along via Tiburtina in the San Lorenzo district, RomaToday reported that a boy with a kippah approached the procession and was met with “vergogna, vergogna” and whistles, before police moved him away.
Yousef Salman, president of the Comunità palestinese di Roma e del Lazio, told the rally that “Noi speriamo che in questo momento l'Europa cominci a farsi sentire.”

IRNA reported that the march began in west London and moved toward government and diplomatic centers on Pall Mall and Waterloo Place, with protesters chanting slogans for “a halt to arms sales to Tel Aviv” and for “an end to the siege of Gaza.”
IRNA said the rally, titled “Nakba 78,” was organized at the call of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign and supported by anti-war and anti-racism groups.
Anadolu Ajansı said that in London police mounted a major security operation as multiple marches took place across the city, and it quoted the Metropolitan Police saying “thousands of officers” were deployed to prevent clashes.
