Merkava strikes in south
Hezbollah said it targeted a Merkava tank east of Yahmor al-Shuqayf and another tank near Dibin, describing the actions as in defense of Lebanon and in response to Israeli attacks that reached villages in southern Lebanon and resulted in martyrs and several civilians wounded.
In a separate report, the Islamic Resistance announced that at 19:00 on Friday, May 29, 2026 it targeted a Merkava tank east of the town of Yahmar al-Shuqayf with a guided missile, which was seen burning, and at 19:05 it targeted a Merkava tank near Dibin with appropriate weapons, also seen burning.

The Islamic Resistance further stated that between 14:30 and 14:40 on Friday 29-05-2026 it targeted three Merkava tanks in Yahmar al-Shuqayf with three Ababil attack sorties, achieving confirmed hits.
Elnashra said Hezbollah’s statement also included claims that fighters detonated an explosive device against an Israeli force that attempted to advance toward the outskirts of Dibin and destroyed a tank at the outskirts of Yahmor al-Shuqayf.
Ceasefire claims and messaging
Elnashra framed the attacks as a response to what it described as the Israeli enemy's violation of the ceasefire and the attacks that reached villages in southern Lebanon, while also stating that the targeted tanks were seen burning.
In a different account, the Islamic Resistance described multiple operations in seven separate statements reviewed by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), including a claim that at 23:20 on Saturday it targeted a Merkava tank in al-Bayyada with a guided missile and achieved a confirmed hit.

The same SABA-reviewed account said that at 08:40 on Sunday fighters targeted a gathering of Israeli army soldiers at the helicopter landing pad in the Shlomi settlement with a kamikaze drone, and that at 11:45 on Sunday they targeted military infrastructure in the Nahariya settlement with a volley of missiles.
It also asserted that the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon continues its military operations in response to Israeli violations of understandings and aggression against Lebanese sovereignty and targeting of civilians and civilian objects.
Regional warnings and escalation
Beyond the battlefield claims, saba.ye said the European Union called on Israel to end the military escalation in Lebanon, while it also reported that the Zionist enemy ordered the evacuation of residents of nine towns in southern Lebanon.

The same saba.ye item included a statement that Qalibaf said escalation of the war and the blockade of Lebanon prove Washington's breach of the ceasefire, and it also carried a line that the Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters in Iran called on residents of the northern areas and settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories to evacuate immediately.
In another West Asian report, the President reaffirmed Iran's commitment to diplomatic avenues to resolve the issues and emphasized Tehran's readiness to facilitate maritime traffic and ensure the security of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
The report also included a warning from Sardar Shakarchi to the leaders of the brutal Zionist regime and their supporters that the continuation of savage crimes against Lebanon will not be tolerated by the Iranian armed forces.
